ABOUT

Our ability to think about the future fascinates me as a scientist.

I completed my PhD in Psychology at the Center on Autobiographical Memory Research (CON AMORE), a former DNRF Centre of Excellence at Aarhus University, Denmark. In my doctoral thesis, I have examined how we think about the future and how this is related to the goals and mental health of a person. Before moving to Denmark, I completed my BA at the University of Erfurt in 2016 and my MSc at the Heidelberg University in 2019.

I am curious about how it is possible to think about the future and the factors that might influence our future thought. My interests lie in the areas of mental health, personal and collective future thought, and factors such as uncertainty as well as contextual circumstances such as the pandemic.

Additionally, I am passionate about exploring ways of how to we can use the knowlegde of future thinking more actively in our everyday life to make a positive impact: support individuals in creating the life they personally want, equipping teams and organizations with tools to strive towards their common goals, and engaging people to readily contribute towards a sustainable future. I am convinced that our ability to think about the future is one of the most important tools we have to create a world we want to live in.
